 jim  Paradise on Waltons Mountain
Well, it's been just another day in Paradise here on Walton's Mountain. Mikeboy got a job in the big city of LA, I think he starts in a couple of weeks. He's been shacking up here for a couple of years, now. I'm gonna miss the ol'boy. On the other hand, I'm gonna put my TV BACK in the bathroom when he moves out!!! Gotta restore some sanity to this place! lol.

jim  Uh Oh. I told Becky I’d call her around 11pm.
Since then, I've had visitors, and I've talked to Mike about him leaving in 2 weeks or so and about his rent. Dang, it's late now! I hope Becky's not mad at me for not playing online pool with her. :(. Jeese..the way things work sometimes is so unpredictable

jim  Well...I guess I’ve done a good job on this websit
At least no one's told me any different. It's been nice grabbing technology by the balls and shaking it around a little. :)

jim  Talked to Jerry Newberry this morning.
He broke his leg on an ATV..OUCH. Those things are so picky...guess you never put you're leg down while making a turn. It's instinct but the wheel sucks you right down under it. He's laid up for awhile.

jim  Its funny how ya notice things.
Like Mike, my roomie. He's collecting his stuff from around the house, and as usual, he's not paid me rent. What a guy! He hopes he's gonna get this job in CA, and he's gonna tell me another story about how he just forgot the rent money. What are friends for?

GMorning. Its a crisp 51 degrees outside here in Las Vegas. I went by and visited Sonny last night. Talked to Allen and some girl he was hitting on in a chat room. Talked to Jimmy Leavelle. Now, I was drinking beer...but it seems funny how the pots often call the kettle black. lol. Whatever, I had a fun day. Brought little Jennifer over a 9 drawer dresser she so desperatly needed too! And that was a good thing.

jim  It’s been over a month since Rob Allred shot himse
He was my best friend up to the end. I hope I never get over those memories we shared. Rob, my Mom, and my stepdad's legacy's to me were the memories we shared. And as long as I'm alive, I'll tell people about them: their good thoughts, their good deeds, their good hearts. I hope more like them will come to exist. THANKS YOU GUYS!

jim  I hoped some day computers would talk English
Ya know, I always hoped computers would come up with one language to control them, maybe ENGLISH.
I studied Cobol, Basic, and now I'm learning C, Javascript and Perl.
It takes intimate knowledge of 5 languages to write ONE APPLICATION these days.
While computers have pretty much the same instruction set as they did 20 years ago, people have come up with different instruction sets to be compiled into the same computer instructions and it's a frigg'n mess.
It's like, current programming technology was created by a one figured typist that was INSANE! ROTFL!!!
As if anyone reads this anyway..lol
Sorry, I always get silly after a beer.

 jim  Girls and life
Ever notice that people always go all out for what want, but once they have it, it becomes ordinary. All girls give the best head in the beginning. After that, they sit on the couch, watch TV and scatter popcorn everywhere, then they blame the mess on you. LOL.

Another idea...ever try to find a laptop station for you car or truck...$300 to $500. Well, that's insane. All you need is a swivel, like a music stand, that pulls up or inserts with a docking station on it.

 jim  January 2004
Thursday, January 29, 2004 - Opportunity gives you more than two knockers, so grab all you can!!!
I may end up in LA, consulting for W2 wages plus $3,400 a month per diem. That works out to 12.17% in taxes (W/H,Fica,Med). Some locals need work too. Sweet!!!
It's a small world people, so be good. Today Chuck Sheppard, a friend in South Dakota, called. I cosigned for his first car loan, (he's 20 y/o). He's moving in with his brother Tom, who happens to live 4 doors away.
Wednesday, January 28, 2004 - Talked to Emilio Honrubia last night. He sounded surprised that he could click my headings. The mouse doesn't change on form buttons, GoFiGuRE! Ouch!...time to recode.

Eat dirt and die! Ragens Art Gallery Saturday, January 23, 2004 - Talked to an old friend, Sharon Mendenhall. Sharon created the post card to the left...wow! Rob Allred (see bottom) and I knew her back in the 80's when we at URS. Sharon's daughter, Regan, who is 26 years old, is a very phenomenal artist. That's her painting to the right. Check out her ethereal paintings website at ragensart.com. She's HOT!

Friday, January 22, 2004 - Identity theft strikes again!!! Identity theft is the fastest growing crime in the United States. I've reordered my Visa Card twice in 4 months. Both times, within two weeks, my number was used for more than $1,000 of purchases on the net. Coincidence, or is someone rubbing a pencil over the envelope to get the raised print off the card, waiting a week or two for the card's activation, then placing orders...hmmm. The address is always to a sleazy motel.
Wednesday, January 21, 2004 - Checked out truck driving. American Institute of Technology said they charge $2,800 for CDL training, and you'll make 24¢ a mile, avg 48mph, drive 60 hours a week, to gross $37,400 a year. Yuck!
Added language translation links to my "SEARCH" page. CLICK the SEARCH heading on the main page to access it. That page is getting pretty cool!
Spent another day of doing favors. Spent 3 hours being a chauffeur. Boned up on 'Javascript for Dummys'.

Sun, January 18, 2004 - I want to thank everyone for their responses to Emails concerning Rob Allred. I sent 32 emails, and received 19 responses. To the Direct Marketeers out there, that's a response rate of 59.375%, and that ain't bad. Thanks again everbody.
Sat, January 17, 2004 - Did favors: Hung closet doors, rehung a trailer door (correctly), hung curtains, hooked up a VCR, installed a shower massager and a kitchen slider, helped replace a door knob, set up PC software for some friends of mine.
Thu, January 15, 2004 - Went to an oldtimers lunch with Dan Crowley, Larry Lewis, Larry Loff, Dale Pickett and Butch Tomasseti.
Shopped for brakes on my 1999 truck. Eight auto shops TRIED TO SCREW ME. Armed with coupons ($77 to $99) for all 4 brakes, the estimates ranged from $160 to $410 for just 2 brakes. I finally lied to the last shop. I showed them an estimate for $280 that included shocks from Midas. THESE GUYS CAN'T READ!!! Ended up paying $250 for brakes and shocks. I felt sorry for the people I heard getting screwed while waiting.
Wed, January 14, 2004 - Did favors: Replaced a circuit breaker. QUESTION: Am I the only one that thinks "The Lord's Prayer" is pathetic? It seems more like "The Corporate Empire's Prayer" to me. I shall not want, uh huh.
January 1 TO 13, 2004 - SEARCHED MY SOUL: Read up on the origin of life, big bang, evolution, man's history on this planet, the Bible's evolution, Pythagoras, Archimedes, Einstein. Developed an excellent time line.
Discovered: The two most written about people in history are: JESUS CHRIST and ADOLF HITLER.
Completed this website, sent emails, did favors.

Tuesday, December 31, 2003 - Rob Allred (10/24/1956 - 12/30/2003) On December 30, 2003, Rob Allred passed away.
Rob was my best friend for 17 years. Please view: My Memorial to Rob, and my thoughts about this very special friend. And please feel free to Email me.
STRANGE THOUGHTS: Why do they call it a "WAKE"? Why is it called a Funeral "Home"? Why do they either cremate us or preserve us? Man, when I die, I want the whole world to just eat me. lol. Be nice everyone. We'll all shine on if we just get along.
